My name is Sunny Nguyen and I currently live in Orange County on the weekends and Los Angeles during the week. I am a freelance graphic designer and a full-time student at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California. I really enjoy creating designs for posters, packages, and books. When it comes to typography I really focus on the small details to make it look awesome because of my keen eye for kerning and leading. I really love graphic design and have this enthusiasm for design when I work on it or even when shopping and I notice how a company rebrands or has a wonderful design.
I have worked with graphic design since I was in high school, starting from designing a yearbook for the school to making flyers and posters to be placed around campus. My designs for the yearbook won best overall design in our category at Walsworth’s Yearbook West 2007. When I started college, I began to refine my skills and started working at Absolute Exhibits in Tustin, designing brochures, magazines and preflighting images.
Now I am just focusing on school and taking on projects as they come. On my free time I like to hang out with my friends to play board games, go to random conventions throughout the year like Comic-Con, go dancing, eating delicious foods around Los Angeles and baking.
